Meet the Wallflowers
Creating & capturing magic since 2019.
We’re best friends who skipped the small talk and started dreaming big.
Helene is content-obsessed and curious beyond a cure. As an American living in Slovenia, she provides the daily comic relief as she stumbles through the culture and language.
After finishing her Master’s in Anthropology in the US, she lived in Mexico, Italy, and England before settling down in Slovenia. Now she is practically an old woman with a chicken obsession.
Since 2012, she has been working freelance across industries doing research consulting and design, editing, content creation, writing, SEO, and cultural consulting.
Her interest in SEO began when she started a travel blog. She was curious how to get traffic to her blog without any traditional marketing. Feeling like she was unlocking a secret of the internet, she began providing free workshops.
Today, Helene is still SEO obsessed, but this time she is bringing anthropology with her. Hear her talk about using anthropological research methods in SEO happening at BrightonSEO this September.
Sandra is a multifaceted creative and always on top of the latest social media trends. Launching a successful beauty blog, YouTube channel and cosmetics online store while still at university gave her her first taste of the digital marketing industry, and she hasn’t looked back since.
In 2014, after graduating from English Language and Literature in Ljubljana, she moved to London and started working at Flipside PR, running social media as well as press and influencer outreach for a number of beauty and lifestyle brands such as essence cosmetics, Boody and RevitaLash.
Later she joined one of the UK’s leading beauty, fashion and lifestyle influencers as her full-time online content producer, carrying out brand partnerships and co-creating a wide range of content for an audience of half a million.
In 2019 she moved back to her home country Slovenia and continued to work in the space as a freelancer, creating content marketing strategies and content itself for a number of companies, from individual-owned boutiques and small startups to major retailers and Slovenia’s first unicorn.
When she’s not helping businesses ace the online game, you can find her exploring the world with a camera in her hand, getting lost in interior design stores, Netflix-ing with her adorable pup, or organising fun events and workshops with her fellow Wallflower Helene, hoping to connect and empower the next generation of female creatives.
